Ha Tien city is becoming a new destination for real estate investors thanks to its geographical advantages and potential for tourism development.
Untapped potential market
Along with the development of transport infrastructure, socio-economy and the speed of urbanization, the upper and middle class in the West are increasing day by day. As a result, the trend of owning houses by the beach for relaxation and investment is also forming.
According to experts, due to limited time, the rich often choose a second home less than 4 hours drive from their current residence. On the other hand, a survey by Google in collaboration with a few units also showed that, after social distancing, the demand for beach tourism is increasing, followed by nature tourism. Therefore, a 'second home' next to the beach is a ideal choice for many people.

However, if the rich in Ho Chi Minh City have many choices of a second home by the beach with hundreds of projects within a 4-hour driving radius, stretching from Long Hai (Vung Tau) to Mui Ne (Binh Thuan), it is quite meager in the West.
The West currently has 13 provinces with 22 million people, of which 7 provinces are bordered by the sea. This is a huge source for the development of the tourism and resort industry in the region. However, due to the large flow of alluvium, it is difficult for these coastal provinces to develop tourism. Surveying people in the West, there are currently only two places that thrive in marine tourism: Phu Quoc and Ha Tien city. If Phu Quoc is oriented as a national and international tourist city, Ha Tien is now emerging to become a tourist and cultural center of the Western region.
Currently, to travel to Phu Quoc, Western tourists have to travel by plane or by road to Ha Tien, then take a speedboat for about 1.5 hours. Despite the fast development speed with diverse services, but due to the obstacles of geographical distance and means of transportation, Phu Quoc is still not the first choice of Western customers when buying a 'second home'.

Most customers have a good source of income, besides buying for investment purposes, they also come to the project for relaxing experiences every weekend. "This is the basis for me to think that a second home by the sea is a new trend in the Southwest region," shared Mr. Toan.
Advantages of developing resort property in Ha Tien.
Ha Tien converges all types of typical tourism of Vietnam, including ecotourism, experience tourism and island tourism with Dong Ho lagoon and Hai Tac archipelago. Special cultural festivals such as the Tao Dan Chieu Anh Cac, the death anniversary of Mac Cuu and Mac Mi Co attract thousands of people. Historical sites and scenic spots include Da Dung mountain, Mui Nai, Binh San, Fort, Thach Dong, To Chau... In addition, the dynamical system of temples and pagodas, beautiful scenery also fascinates tourists to go on an annual pilgrimage to celebrate Vesak. Tourism attractions are only 2-10 minutes apart which is convenient to experience.
Ha Tien is also a land of interference among three cultures Kinh - Chinese - Khmer with special rituals. The source of seafood is rich, fresh and many specialties attract tourists. If you want to experience the local culture, just head to the Night Market located in the heart of the new urban area. The market has the largest scale in the West, well-planned with 500 colorful stalls. The commercial market operates in the morning in which visitors can find Thai and Cambodian goods easily.
The biggest strength to develop leisure travle is the system of white sand beaches such as Mui Nai, Bai No, Bai Bang... This is a competitive advantage and also a "key" to create a unique position in the region.
Traffic in Ha Tien is gradually change with many key projects. Typically, the Southern Corridor connects 7 coastal provinces, starts at Ha Tien and ends at Tien Giang. Besides, upgrading Ha Tien - Rach Gia - Bac Lieu expressway, and expanding National Highway 80.
Most recently, Ha Tien has benefited greatly from the Lo Te - Rach Soi expressway, which shortens the distance to Can Tho to 2 hours. The project of upgrading National Highway 80, section Kien Luong to the international border gate with a length of more than 20km, is urgently completed. The 40km long coastal corridor project from Hon Dat to Kien Luong will start this year, closing the distance from Rach Gia to Ha Tien. The smooth traffic system will minimizes the travel time from the western provinces to Ha Tien, which is a condition for the development of second home and resort projects.
In addition, a representative of CNT Group said that Ha Tien owns a lot of potential for real estate development since the land price is located in a "low-lying area" and has room to increase. Specifically, the most expensive beachfront villas in Ha Tien Venice Villas are only at 20 million VND per m2 (VAT included), payment up to 36 months to help customers simplify their needs for a second home. CNT Group shared that the entire project infrastructure has been accepted and will be issued a Certificate of Land Use Rights in the next few months.
